Sustainable Care Co-Investigator, Professor Louise Ryan, and our Partners at the Centre of Migration Research at the University of Warsaw have been successfully funded for a study which focuses on Polish grandparents’ transnational care relationships.

The study, ‘Grandparenting at a distance’, will be led by Dr Weronika Kloc-Nowak and aims to
investigate the relations between contemporary Polish grandmothers, grandfathers and grandchildren,
the ways in which these relations are maintained and the value they have for grandparents. Professor Louise Ryan takes the role of International Expert Advisor on the project.
