On Tuesday 7th August the Sustainable Care programme’s Director of Impact, Madeleine Starr MBE participated in Woman’s Hour on BBC radio 4, following a warning from the Department of Health and Social Care as part of its evidence to the committee advising on immigration rules post-Brexit Government, that ‘If we fail to meet social care needs adequately we are likely to see a decrease in labour market participation levels, especially among women, as greater numbers undertake informal care’. You can listen to the programme here.

The next day, a blog written by Madeleine,  ‘The responsibility of care is in danger of falling on women if enough support isn’t given to all carers’, was published in the Metro, follow this link to read it.
